C.U.P Research Center Launches Drone Device

NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga: Christ's University in Pacific has taken yet another step forward in regards to its research department with the acquiring of a drone. The flying mechanism, which is equipped with ultrasound technology and a high-definition camera, is a valuable addition and asset to it's research facilities.

The device, which is controlled with a remote and an iPad is capable of flying in a distance of 20,000 feet while recording high-quality videos which can be viewed on the iPad in real-time.
Internationally, drones are often used in military operations, news corporations, law enforcement and intelligence agencies such as C.I.A and FBI. They are widely recognized for their flexibility and stability in both control and maneuvering.

Professor Brian Cusack, who brought the device from New Zealand, conducted a live demonstration on Maseia's rooftop. This demonstration was witnessed by President Dr Liufau Vailea Saulala along with the rest of the staff and faculty of the University.
George Pakola, a post-graduate student, will conduct a research using this device. According to Pakola, his research will be based on looking at necessities for surveillance in traffic control for Tonga.
While the University is currently in process of solidifying and strengthening it's credibility in terms of research, the advancement in this addition of the drone will indeed contribute to that success.
